The following provides an overview of the IGA Birkdale's Community scheme, which includes:

4. Special Event/Cause Sponsorship

The IGA Birkdale Community Rewards Program is designed to assist local schools, clubs, associations and community organisations. Members of your organisation join the IGA Cleveland Community Rewards Program by completing a membership form and nominating the community organisation to which they belong. They will then be issues with a key tag.

At the register the tag is scanned and ‘points’ automatically credited to the nominated ‘account’. IGA Birkdale will then donate a percentage of every dollar members spend in the supermarket back to the community organisation.

The IGA Birkdale Community BBQ is designed to provide the opportunity for organisations to raise funds by hosting 'sausage sizzles' at the front of the store on a Saturday mornings. IGA Birkdale will provide the venue, BBQ, assist with staff free, and meet the cost of sausages and other provisions using the Community Chest Fund.
BBQ dates for Beneficiaries will be advertised within the community calendar on this web site.

Remember, the more time we have to raise funds for sponsorship, the more we likely we are to be able to help - so give us a much notice as possible!
